| Level 1 | Pickaxe ability (unlocked at start) |
| Level 2 | +1 ore per vein |
| Level 3 | Coal can be found in rocks |
| Level 4 | Double chance to find geodes |
| Level 5 | Choose profession: Miner (+1 ore per vein) or Geologist (chance for gems) |
| Level 10 | Miner: Blacksmith (ore sells 50% more) or Prospector (double coal chance). Geologist: Excavator (double geode finds) or Gemologist (gems worth 30% more) |
