Complete Rings Collection Guide

Rings Collection

Rings are powerful accessories in Stardew Valley that provide passive bonuses to your character. With over 30 different rings available, understanding their effects and how to combine them effectively can significantly enhance your farming, mining, fishing, and combat capabilities. This guide covers every ring in the game, how to obtain them, and the best combinations for every situation.

How Rings Work

You can equip up to two rings at a time, and their effects stack. Some rings provide combat bonuses, others boost resource gathering, and some offer unique utility effects. Rings are equipped in the inventory menu and can be swapped at any time outside of combat.

Ring Stacking Rules

RuleDescription
Same Ring TypeCannot equip two of the exact same ring
Similar EffectsEffects from different rings stack (e.g., two glow rings increase light radius further)
Unique EffectsSome effects do not stack meaningfully (e.g., magnetism has a cap)
Combat RingsDamage bonuses stack additively

Ring Forging at the Volcano Forge

After reaching the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island (Level 10), you can combine two rings into one at the Forge. This allows you to have the effects of two rings while only occupying one ring slot, effectively giving you four ring effects total.

How Ring Forging Works

  1. Reach the Forge at Level 10 of the Volcano Dungeon
  2. Place two rings in the forge interface
  3. Pay 20 Cinder Shards
  4. The two rings are combined into one with both effects

Ring Value and Selling

Most rings can be sold if you have duplicates or no longer need them. However, consider keeping one of each for forging combinations.

Ring TierSell Price RangeKeep or Sell?
Common (Glow, Small Magnet)50-100gKeep for forging
Uncommon (Warrior, Sturdy)200-500gKeep one
Rare (Iridium Band, Vampire)750-2,000gAlways keep
Special (Phoenix, Lucky)200-1,000gAlways keep

Tips and Tricks

  1. Prioritize Iridium Band: This ring combines three essential effects (glow, attack, magnetism) and should be your first major crafting goal.

  2. Forge Strategically: Only forge rings you will use together long-term. Once forged, they cannot be separated.

  3. Keep Slime Charmer Ring: Even late game, this ring saves you from annoying slime knockback and damage.

  4. Vampire Ring for Deep Dives: Essential for Skull Cavern runs where food slots are limited.

  5. Burglar’s Ring for Farming: When hunting specific monster drops, this ring doubles your efficiency.

  6. Luck Ring Stacking: While you cannot equip two Luck Rings, combining one with food buffs maximizes luck-based outcomes.

  7. Ring Swapping: Keep different ring combinations in chests and swap them based on your current activity.

  8. Phoenix Ring Safety: Always equip this when attempting dangerous activities or deep Skull Cavern runs.

  9. Glow Ring vs. Small Glow Ring: The Glow Ring provides a larger light radius than the Small Glow Ring. There is no ā€œGlowing Ringā€ in the game.

  10. Magnetism Cap: Magnetism has a maximum effective range; stacking multiple magnetism sources has diminishing returns.
